Skein

Wulf Zatsu

An incomplete, shattered looking shell. After beginning an attack, or defensive run, imperceptibly splits off its outer layers to surround the target at distance then slowly, methodically closes.

Its Wähnisan is also incomplete, as only a fragmentary derived memory was extracted. The resultant AI routines were deemed novel enough to allow a shell creation, and this nonpareil existence continues to pay dividends with its asymmetric approaches.

Keimär

One third of the Tokubetsu Dreifach, a linked trio of shells created simultaneously. Its AI core’s Wähnisan (Wähn遺産), the genetic derived, halcyon memories extrapolated and personified into the logic routines that make each core unique, drives it to seek something out with extreme urgency. Not even the other AI cores know, and it’s becoming costly.

Oni Schoss

Where most Sein seem borne of positive or affirming genetic memories, this unit creaks and moans during combat in an unsettling timbre. No mechanical faults or metal stress have ever been documented, but still the sounds persist.

It stalks the battlefield, affixed to targets even at extreme distances, shadowing their every move and reaction. Most victims are unaware of this attention until several thousand pillars of flame alight and consume them.

Dreadnaughts

Zinsume

An AI core focused on logistical support controls this shell. Its exterior seems a bit melted, as by lightning strike. It always seems to be everywhere at once on a battlefield.

Onimär

Focused on shielding its brethren. Does not seem burdened by the seek compulsion Keimär suffers under.

Genshikon

One extremely imbalanced linear accelerator seems to define this unit, until it unleashes the tensioned forces this creats at close range, utterly obliterating targets.

Its shells continues this motif, with eddying greens and browns in constant flux, dancing about its surface.

Colossi

Jinmär

Its hulking mass is never far from its linked shells, usually performing planetary inquests with extreme firepower. Efforts to dissuade or otherwise impede these tasks, end in molten slag.

Sotō Vörm

Its memories are of idyllic, alien landscapes heated to an agreeable temperature by its soft yellow star.

A shell of shimmering pearlescent material nearly distracts from the prominent, innumerable weapon systems. Belying its mobility, it instead prefers a plodding, inexorable pursuit of its quarry.

Osakami Sein

When its Wähnisan’s source material was first discovered, and guided [Redacted] researchers to its own creation, the project’s attached AI was a mundane analytical suite. Now, several centuries later, its AI is the byline in every new scientific inquiry, the punkt at the end of every Empyreal advancement.

Its shell in combat, is an extension of this always explorative and innovative drive; corralling enemies into a heretofore unknown Rhexis or withdrawing to allow the enemy to discover the intercept trajectory of a massive micrometeroid cloud, whose size blinds most sensors to their sheer velocity.
