Origins
“Lunar Midori”
Referring to the fabled Kessōcha they cultivate on their moon, one of many above a nondescript ringed gas giant. The Selenian homeworld is somewhat uncommon amongst lunar bodies, being volcanic and boro-silicate in core composition. Active volcanism and other geothermal agents keep the boro-silica basaltic ground warm while the proximity to its host planet, and the chemical makeup of its air, helps maintain a vaporous icy atmosphere. This interplay is responsible for most of the peculiarities in the fauna and flora, including the Kessōcha .
One of the first encountered species by the Dracovirum as they scouted beyond their home system.
Morphology, Traits and Proclivities
Selenians are silicon carbide bipeds, with an unglazed to glossy ceramic luster to their skin. Possessing a triple helix genetic matrix (much like the Dracovir), has allowed them to develop numerous advantages over their local environment. They are among the galaxy’s preeminent glassworkers, electronic and mechanical engineers and genetic scientists.
Housing, and most of their architecture in general, consists of concentric rings of transparent black glass, with annular segments at will, or whim, containing inserts of other glasses. The Decorum sections are for guests and entertainment, The Privatium contains everything else. Single dwelling homes.
Familae consists of sexual partners, friends and cohorts from the community. Offspring are sculpted from complex organic molecules following a live genetic editing and coupling session , with as many craftsmen involved as are wanted. Selenians are usually crafted for needs of the community or as a novel experiment, their population as a whole is very small.
