Headed by the Quadrimum Merum, served by the Aðal Fyrir, chief of all Fyrirs, and the Tähtien Majoris, chief of all scouts, both chosen among the defeated combatants of Annum Naumacha when the QM ascended to the leadership role.

All Fjarls serve aboard their relatives’ ships first, with those proving themselves in the Annum Naumacha given tentative commands of lesser scouting ships. Successful expeditions lead to greater and greater commands and responsibilities, until they are able to prove themselves in a full complement of battles in the next Annum. Once this step is completed, they are bestowed the rank of Fyrir by the QM personally and tasked with designing and helping construct their own Rúmflæði. Exceptionally skilled individuals are conferred with additional honours and titles, such as Toxteth or Coxteth, with those individuals given their own skein sized ship.

Each full fledged Fyrir commands his own Rúmflæði (“Iceberg ships”), known colloquially throughout the galaxy as RumFyres when in combat due to the ghostly affects the living ice of the ships interacting with the high energy plasma shots emanating from its weaponry. [Redacted] and [Redacted] have Dreadnought Rúmflæði, but engage the enemy in their Skein instead, giving command to Fyrir they personally vet.

An interesting, and somewhat vexing to outsiders, point, is their static naming conventions for positions of power, with only their discoveries and conquests alluding to when.
